The service
TimeMachine is a world clock for iOS, Android and the web, published by theMakeApp (“we”). By using it you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. In the App Store the app is listed as “Global Time Machine”; it is the same app.
Accounts
The basic clock works without an account. Syncing, lists and friends need one; you sign in with Apple, Google or Microsoft. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 13 years old.
Free and Premium
- Free: your own place and one city.
- Premium: unlimited cities, lists, and friends’ time zones and busy time.
Premium is a subscription: 1.99 USD per month or 9.99 USD per year, with a 14-day free trial for new subscribers. Your store shows the exact price in your currency, including taxes.
Billing and renewal
- Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends.
- The subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- You manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app or your TimeMachine account does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their rules.
- When a subscription ends, your cities and lists are kept. You can still view, reorder and remove them, but adding beyond the Free limits needs Premium again.
Fair use
Do not misuse the service: no attempts to break in, to overload it, to access other people’s data, or to use invite links to harass anyone. We may suspend accounts that do.
Friends and busy time
When you connect with a friend, you both agree to show each other your name, picture, city, time zone and — if switched on — when you are busy. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Accuracy
Time zone rules are set by governments and change, sometimes at short notice. TimeMachine uses the time zone database of your device and is as accurate as that database. Keep your device up to date, and double-check before relying on the app for anything where a mistake would be costly.
Disclaimer and liability
The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.
Ending
You can stop using TimeMachine and delete your account at any time. We may change or discontinue the service; if we discontinue a paid part, we will tell subscribers in advance.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, we will update this page and the date at the top. Continued use means you accept the new terms.
